Martina Cardone

New! I will join the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Professor starting January 2018.

I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow at UCLA Henri Samueli School working with Prof. Christina Fragouli. In 2009, I obtained a Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino. Then I continued my studies within a Double Degree program between my home university and Télécom ParisTech at EURECOM, track Mobile Communications. I obtained a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering, with a Thesis entitled “Max Min Weighted SINR for the Multiple Input Single Output Interference Channel”. This work was accomplished during a six-month internship at Intel Mobile Communications, Sophia Antipolis (France). In April 2015, I received my Ph.D. in Electronics and Communications from EURECOM - Télécom ParisTech. I was co-supervised by Prof. Raymond Knopp and Prof. Daniela Tuninetti from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). My Ph.D. thesis was entitled “Cooperation Strategies for Next Generation Cellular Systems” and partially co-founded by Intel Mobile Communications and Qualcomm.
